Hybrid Speaker M 320 F
The slender M 320 F may look like a conventional column speaker, but it offers so much more. An active/passive hybrid design with an integrated subwoofer amplifier, this compact column speaker functions as both an active subwoofer and a passive stereo speaker at the same time.
The 130 mm fibreglass woofer and 25 mm neodymium tweeter are responsible for the stereo sound. With the help of a side-mounted 200 mm subwoofer, the M 320 F has a full-range frequency response with powerful sub-bass.
The remarkable bass response of this speaker is made possible by a separate 150 W amplifier intended solely for the subwoofer channel. The tweeter/mid-range driver module is passively decoupled for frequencies above 120 Hz. An acoustic partition in the cabinet prevents the drivers from interfering with each other.
By using two of these column speakers, Theater 3 Hybrid owners benefit from having two subwoofers in one system.
The universal design of the integrated active subwoofer allows it to be connected to the ‘Sub Out’ of your AV receiver or the speaker terminals of your stereo amplifier. In any case, this relieves your amplifier/receiver from bass duties and frees it up to concentrate more on the other frequency ranges. With a pair of M 320 F speakers, you will dramatically improve the quality of the bass response in your stereo system.
These two column speakers provide Theater 3 Hybrid owners with the advantage of having two subwoofers in one system. A three-stage volume selector switch allows you to select how much bass is split between the subwoofer and tweeter/mid-range drivers and thus match the system to your listening environment.

This centre channel speaker is the ideal addition to the M 320 F front speakers.
This speaker – equipped with two 130 mm fibreglass woofers, a metal phase plug and one 25 mm neodymium tweeter – provides wide dispersion of dialogues and speech. This is an essential aspect for listeners not situated in the ideal ‘sweet spot’.
With its maximum power rating of 160 W, this centre channel speaker can be used at high volumes.

Pair Rear Speaker M 320 R
The rear channels in the Theater 3 Hybrid system are handled by the M 320 R speakers. This speaker – available as a classic bookshelf unit with a universally compatible impedance of 4 to 8 ohms – contributes to the rear of the sound field.
By using the same drivers as the three front speakers – 130 mm fibreglass woofer and 25 mm fabric dome tweeter – the surround sound of this system is highly balanced.
With a maximum power rating of 80 W, this system has sufficient reserve capacity to be operated in rooms of up to 35 m2.
